This relief painting deals with man's continuing efforts to understand the universe, and his place in it. It is a highly abstracted, visual representation of this process being carried out through aeons of time. The sun, represented as only artists can represent it, through the magic of color and geometric form, is tranformed into a big yellow dot!
And much intellectual effort by man, plus various kinds of pseudo-intellectual activity is represented very effectively by the use of lines and forms intersecting in haphazard and aesthetically organized fashion.
