Making Safe Art Purchases from TAS
When You Click on an Add to Cart Button:
You will be taken to my PayPal shopping cart. You do not need to have an account there to make an art purchase. PayPal is a safer way to purchase online, though. Once you open an account, your account information is kept safely by PayPal (an eBay company) and you will not have to send it online anymore. Online purchasing is safe, don't worry. You do it every time you make a credit purchase in a store. Your credit card information has to be sent online to Visa, MasterCard, Sears, your bank, etc. And the secure lines used on this website, and any reputable online business are as safe as possible. Look for HTTPS in the address bar. The "S" means you are on a secure line, similar to the ones banks use. If you are not, DON'T give your credit card number. (no charge for the free credit safety info! ha ha!)
Now you can continue with your art purchase, feeling safer making online purchases than you have before. You've already been doing it for years!
If it were not safe, really, the entire banking system would have collapsed before now, if you think about it. Online shopping carts are portals into VISA, MasterCard, and countless other banks and megabanks. If these portals were not, on the whole, very safe, hackers would have a direct link into the banks! This would be a disaster. But the connections are very secure. And so will the ones you open if you just ensure that you are actually on a secure line, such as my PayPal shopping cart here.
Shipping Charges at Terrell Art Studio
We charge $50 shipping for all art purchases This covers any size art, large or small. If you are purchasing a smaller work of art, it might seem like a lot for shipping, but we have allowed for that. And if you are one of the fortunate art collectors who are ready to own an amazing, large Robert Terrell artwork, then this is your lucky day for cheap shipping!
This flat rate only applies to North America. Shipping charges overseas can get to be rather expensive. But we do what we can to keep them as reasonable as possible. Please email for shipping rates to your country BEFORE making your purchase. It makes things simpler if you do.
After you place an order, give us a couple of days to get it packed and in route. Large works will take a bit longer, since a crate may need to be built. When I say "us" that usually means me, Robert Terrell the artist. I paint most of the paintings myself (ha ha ha ha - do you think I'm Kostabi? I paint all of them). And I handle most of the packing and shipping. I do leave most of the truck driving and plane flying to UPS and FedEx, though. Don't be surprised however, if a dude arrives at your door in brown shorts and cap, with your box of new art, and he says, "It's me, Robert, delivering your art in person!." (Actually, do be surprised if that happens! It's totally unlikely unless you live in Rio - I really want to visit there!)
