Terrell Art Studio is an ecommerce gallery featuring the abstract art of Robert Terrell, a Texas based artist since 1959. That's me. I create abstract paintings, bas-relief (low relief) paintings, wall sculptures, functional art furniture and abstract art clocks. All this abstract art is created for website visitors like you ... for your homes, office spaces, hospitals, motels, buildings, etc.

My art takes time to fully appreciate. At first glance the design, colors, forms, may appear to have a casual arrangement. But if you spend some time just looking at the art and getting acquainted with the various pieces, you will begin to see the multiple levels there. My abstract art will begin to communicate to you. This happens to people, sometimes immediately, sometimes after they have been around my art for a while, becoming familiar with my visual language.

I've spent decades developing my art style (styles) and language. It's not just random lines, forms and colors. And it is not something that can be described in words, either. If it was, I would be a writer.

What I hope to communicate to the viewer cannot be communicated without the participation of the viewer. It takes human consciousness to make it happen. So for me, I hope to sell all the art and get it into homes, office spaces, lobbies, etc. etc.. Once it is sold and hung in your spaces, it is completed. Not when I sign it, really. The cycle is "complete" when it goes out of my studio and to its home in the world. And even then the cycle is never truly ended because as people look at the art and contemplate it, new ideas are brought into play. So the art creative cycles go on and on. My task as I see it is to create art that has many levels for human consciousness to work with in this endeavor.

TAS is a Fine Art Production & Sales Studio

2008-04-11 @ 12:57, Wrecktangles (my weblog),

Terrell Art Studio is all about art production and sales. These are its main functions, first and foremost. I want to get my art out of the studio and into your homes, offices, institutions, etc. The abstract art you find here, that you love, needs to be in your space. Let me make that happen for you. Email me here at Terrell Art Studio and I will make a deal that is agreeable to everyone involved. The abstract art created by me, Robert Terrell needs to find its home in your home (office, hotel, motel, elevator lobby, club, den, cabin, rv, motel, hallway, etc. etc.)

Be sure to check out the Art Gallery which has several web pages of art online available to buy now. And visit the Under $50 and Sale pages, too. Then there are the Fine Art Categories (right column), which have the art arranged into types of art: abstract painting, wall sculpture, relief painting, art furniture, landscapes, cityscapes, etc., for your convenience. And you can view my installations, there.

Not everyone wants an installation in their living room! I converted my "living room" (which is really my painting studio) into an installation, twice. But ... thinking like an installation artist will open up exciting possibilities for your space, and give you some new ideas for creative possibilities that you hadn't thought of before. And actually, art lighting (and lighting in general) is really a lot like installation art. Or, it can be if you let your mind open up to the possibilities. Your space can be very interesting, no matter how large, or small!

Thanks for visiting my website. If you have any questions, (art, astronomy or football, only ... ha ha - ok, cats, too!) please call me at (806) 224-6156.
